About Our After-School and Holiday Care Program
Learning doesn't stop after school hours. That's why Carpe Diem offers safe and enriching after-school and holiday care programs perfect for working parents across Austin, Richardson, and Frisco. Our school-age program creates a safe environment where school age children who attend kindergarten through 5th-grade classes at several local elementary schools can thrive during out of school hours.
These kids get picked up by one of our buses at the end of their school day. We also provide holiday care on the days public schools close, except for the designated days when Carpe Diem remains closed. The complete peace of mind our high-quality school-age programs ensure becomes an essential priority for working parents, who demand and deserve safety and enriching activities for their families during school holidays and after regular hours.
From 5 to 12: Development Support For Every Stage
School age children need a different approach than younger kids. At Carpe Diem, you'll find a secure, inviting environment that allows school age children greater independence than preschoolers while offering activities older children enjoy. Rest assured they receive guidance and supervision at all times in spacious areas both indoors and out.
We maintain a large playground designed especially for this age group. Beyond their classroom, which comes well stocked with art and craft supplies, puzzles, board games, many manipulative toys, and items for creative play, school-agers also spend time in our indoor gym, library, and computer lab with its wide choice of software.
After-School and Holiday Care Program Enrollment and Registration
Our teacher to child ratio stays low at 1:15, with a maximum group size of 20, which then requires two teachers to be present. Our field trip ratio drops to 1:8. Our staff brings caring, well qualified expertise, and completes ongoing training in guidance, recreation, and education, including first aid and CPR classes. They know your kids very well and will communicate with you on a daily basis about your child's activities and progress.
